Getting started
Your first month on the platform
What happens after the paperwork clears, from the first contribution to the first statement you sit down and read properly.

The first month raises more questions than the rest of the year put together, which is why we keep it simple. Here is the shape of it.
What to do, then what to stop doing
Put in the amount you planned and leave it alone for a few weeks. Watch how a contribution turns into holdings, and note the date it appears in the record. Read one statement properly rather than skimming three.
- Check your details and named beneficiaries are right
- Set a monthly contribution, if you want one
- Look at the fee lines once
- Write down any question and send it to us
Then stop. Checking a long term portfolio every morning costs peace of mind and adds nothing. A monthly look fits most people, with a longer review once a year or when something changes at home.
If anything reads oddly, email the team. We would far rather answer a basic question in the first month than have a client guess for a year.
Good portfolios start with a question
Tell us what you are saving for, how you would like to invest and where you are up to. A person replies by email. Nothing is opened, signed or charged through the form.
